Sergio Santancieri

Painter, yoga instructor, real-estate professional, Sergio Santancieri was born in Tigre Argentina in 1978.

Sergio was not formally trained as an artist. As a child, he had the innate ability to draw. With pencil as his toy, combined with his vivid imagination, Sergio was able to capture images on paper beyond his years.

After the pandemic, transitioned from a yoga instructor and poured his energy into painting on canvas. Sergio equates much of the images he portrays on canvas to his spiritual journey as a yoga instructor. During this time, he took on a deep interests inspirit teachings and concepts from various countries where achieving balance between soul, mind and body was the key to peace, purpose, and health.

Sergio describes his work as “Magical Realism”, in which he defines as the discovery of balance between mind, body, and soul enhanced with his imagination of using concepts and objects to accentuate it’s meaning. Portraying an escape from reality through his works, Sergio often depicts a dream world on canvas using oils and acrylics. Sergio also delves into myths and archetypes which have been a source of inspiration. With hyperrealistic and abstract sections, Sergio has achieved a unique and more than attractive technique from a visual and technical point of view.

Today, Sergio has dedicated 100% to painting, with an incredible realistic hipar technique that links with abstract backgrounds. Sergio has has held numerous exhibitions in Galleries throughout Argentina to include the well known Bresson Art Gallery.
