Eduardo Esposito Gonzalez

Seasoned Cuban Artist, Eduardo Expósito González’s was born in La Habana Cuba in 1964. Expósito's mixed-media works and collages have been exhibited throughout Cuba, the United States and Europe. Although his grandfather was a painter and he himself has always painted, Expósito actually began work as a photographer. Eventually, he studied drama for three years, and he also directed the daily operations of a successful art gallery. Expósito does not hesitate to recogize artists whom influenced his career such as Carlos Luna and Adrin Roberto. These expereinces led to his involvement in the Cuban center for Cultural Assets in the 1990s and eventually led to his career as a painter. The concept and themes behind many of Expósito's paintings are not just feelings but ideas. Expósito's favorite techniques in painting consists of monotype composition, collage, and other methods that he has developed himself. Recognizable in his paintings is the influence of various expressionist artists, including goya, ensuart, vin, sander, muller, and others. Expósito's has never followed the traditional route, either in his schooling or in his work; and he continues to produce art today that is aggressively individualistic. Expósito's has been a valued member of the Unión Nacional de Pintores y Artistas de Cuba for the past 15 years.
